My name is Nate Carter.

After starting my personal training career at Urban Active and after five fulfilling years at Orangetheory Fitness, I took the leap of faith and started my own Online Fitness and Wellness coaching business.

I received my Bachelor of Science at The Ohio State University in Allied Health, concentration in Health and Wellness.

I also possess two of the most prestigious personal training certifications in the entire fitness industry:

NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialits (CSCS)

NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)

I was also once in your shoes!

After college and personal training one year at LA Fitness, I decided to work for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, a company I stayed with for three years. Although I give Enterprise a lot of credit for developing me into the business owner I am today, I neglected my health during this time, especially in my final year when I managed my own branch. Between no longer going to the gym, attending happy hours and comapny events, eating out and not preparing my own meals, and also developing a bad habit of smoking, I put on SIXTY unwanted pounds.

It was the first time in my life my belly hung over my waist. It was the first time I felt like I was going to tear a pair of pants just from bending over to pick up something off the floor. But even more than that, I felt like I was no longer in control of my health and that all those bad habits I picked up controlled me, I was bigger on the outside but I felt so small on the inside and distant from who I really was. I had a longing to return to fitness but was too scarred to take the leap of faith. The depression and anxiety hit a fever pitch in late 2016 and I just knew something had to change, so I took the leap of faith and left a very stable career to chase something different.

I went on this year long journey to get my health back and trusted in what I learned in college and early personal training career. It was a hard journey, but it was the path God wanted me to take! I experienced the frustrations of when the scale wouldn’t move, the fear of “what if I don’t/can’t do this,” and the worry of will I look like this forever. But through it all, I got to experience the highs of pushing my body to limits I never thought possible, the excitement when old outfits could fit again, the accomplishment when I made myself stronger physically but mentally, and I got to see the end result that I can be proud of in the mirror one year later and saying to myself “YOU DID IT”

The journey and the payoff in the end is why I want to help as many people as I can! Everybody deserves to be strong and confident in their own skin. I made many mistakes along the way so you don’t have to and one thing that makes this journey easier is having an accountability partner, and what better partner than one who has gone throught what you may be going through right now?
